Lowrance question

I have a Lowrance x47 on my boat now and am wondering if a M68C could be substituted using the same power cord and transducer as the x47? Also, does anyone know the difference between the deepwater m68c and the "regular" m68c?

According to Lowrance.com the X47 and M68 use the same power/transducer cord. The M68 deepwater uses a 50/200 khz transducer instead of the standard 200 khz only transducer
