Now simco is on the list, dont worry about that.

But getting ready for the ice fishing season out here, and heard some great things about Chautauqua. Gonna give it a shot this winter. Wondering if there is any lodging nearby during the winter. Would be nice for the boy and me for an overnight.

We were looking over the maps, and figured out first spot to try would be off long point, working south towards the narrows.

This is the cheapest in area, its about 10 miles north of Chautauqua. At one time they gave discounts for fisherman if you ask.

If you want right on the water try the Redwood Ranch Motel. Might be tough getting in there they usually book up early with snowmobilers.

Not an ice fisherman but can't say I've really ever heard of great Chautauqua ice results.

If you want good ice perch try east at Irondequoit or north on Simcoe.

Webbs at the Mayville end is open all year. And they have a restaurant.
If I remember correctly, Mayville has good perch fishing at first ice.
Let us know how you do. Good luck.
