Has this been done before?

I was wondering with the cost of boats and the diffuculty of arranging test drives has there ever been a boat show on the water with all the manufactures there so you can hop from brand to brand to test drive? I just bought a new truck and test drove it. They do this every year for snowmobiles at Canterbury downs all the manufactures are there and you can ride any sled you want. I think it would be great marketing and show idea if it has not been done! Compare a 620 to 205 to Warrior or Lund. I think a location like a millelacs resort or some other central location. Any thoughts, maybe Walleye Central should sponsor this.

yea, great idea. I think the boats should be on a great lake though, that way you could see how they handle BIG water.

I believe there is such a show on Tonka each year. I can't remember exactly when (June?). Maybe someone else will know. Anyway, I have not attended it myself but I understand it is a decent sized show. It is out of Excelsior.

It doesnt have to be all top dollor rigs either, I am sure people would like to see how some of the smaller tillers and console boats compare. But it would nice if it where all fishing type not pretty barbie boats.

They have one every year here in Utah at one of the marinas. All the local dealers show up with their new boats, lots of activities.

Schnauzer is correct. There is an in water boat show on Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior, MN the 4th & 5th of May. Not sure how many fishing boats, but typically an array of vessels.
