Looking for a set of plans or at least a quality close up photo of how the "drop down" axle system works on an ice shanty.
I have a 10X10 house I want to put on wheels.
Presenty it is on skids and does not pull so good with the weight.
Can you buy a wheel kit anywhere to put on an existing house?
i can fabricate one if I could just get a good look at one but you dont see them out west here at all.
Thanks

Are you going to be pulling it down the highway? I may be wrong but I think 8 foot would be the limit on width....

Jim, your neighbor at the lake, Bill, has the nicest one I ever saw.. Take a look at his. He prolly knows the ins and outs.
And yes... "Bigstick" makes a good point. ~ 8'6" is the widest you can go down the road with.
Heh heh ..this weather has a guy thinking, huh? I got all my gear ready and attached to my ATV today. All rods, reels, holders, organized and loaded ....started up the auger to clear the cobwebs....I'm READY!!!!

Hey Terry,
I was in lewistown for the Walleye Unlimited meeting this weekend. Was hoping to drop the jet in the river but it is hard water now!
So Yes my focus is now on the ice.
I wont be pulling my big house around any roads.
I have a fish trap guide I operate out of most of the time but the wife likes to join me in the evening jiggin eyes now that she can be toasty warm in the "big house". So I move it around as needed.
It is on 4X4 skids with skiis for runners but problem is that it is too much drag for my 4 wheeler if there is much snow on the ice.
Wheels would work better (or a better 4wheeler......)
Good advice on looking at Bills house. I forgot all about his. Ill drive over next weekend and take some pictures.
Thanks
