Info on Rainy Lake Walleye and smallmouth

Can anyone give me any information on Rainy Lake Walleye and Smallmouth fishing....I will be coming to Island View Lodge the week beginning July 8, 2000 and have never fished the lake before....what type of fishing should i expect and what type of tackle do i need to bring????? will be bringing my own boat, but would be interested in a guide the first day for help.....
