Red Heat Lamp - Dog Eyes

Searched the posting but couldn't find anything on the topic. I am wondering if anyone has had or heard of any issues using red heat lamps in a kennel and the effects on a dogs eyes?

Are you talking about the heat lamps used in the food service industry?

If they are like the ones we use in the oil patch, most of the "red" heat lamps are infared, but I don't know what the effects of infared light would be on the dogs eyes. I doubt it does them much good though!

If you are talking about the infrared flood lamps they will not harm your dogs eyes. They will warm objects, not the air. We use one to warm our whelping box for newborn puppies and have never had a problem.
