I have a 2003 621 Ranger with the walk thru windshields. Since I am not going to be able to afford a new boat any time soon, I would like to do some updates to my rig.
The first thing that I was looking at doing was upgrading my dash. Has anyone else done this and how much would I be looking at spending?
Would a newer style dash fit in my existing counsel?
Thanks, and Happy Holidays!

What's wrong with the woodgrain dash of the 2003? I would upgrade, bow mount, electronics etc before ripping apart the dash...from one 621 owner to another (former 03 current 08 owner) :)

I have already upgraded to a 101lb terova and a Lowrance 112C, so I'm good in that department. My wood grain is faded and I like the newer style dashes. I guess its just a personal preferance. I'll trade you even up, since you like the 2003! LOL

Check out "hydroprinting"...many companies out there that do it. If your not aware of hydroprinting...it's the same type finish that camo guns have.
I've looked into it to have my dash panels done, the wood grain is faded and ugly. I found several carbofiber and metal prints that would look nice, custom. I contacted Eagle custom graphics this summer, they quoted me $160 to do my dash, glove box and fuse cover in carbon fiber. Just havn't gotten around to it...but will.

I didn't even know at the time....lol. I just googled them, they are in Missouri. This post rekindled my drive to get this done, I started searching for different outfits. I found a place here in MN that does it called HHGRAFIX in Forest Lake. They look to have a really good selection of "prints", might want to check them out. Most of the ones I searched this summer were mostly wood grain and camo prints with a few carbon fiber...I see now there are some good places with more prints.

I sent in my wood grain pannels to Hot Hydro which is located in Chisago City. I delt with Chris and I have to say that I am very pleased with his great service! He took the time to explain the process and answered all of my questions. I am a huge fan of good service and I just wanted to let everyone know that Hot Hydro is a great place to do business with. They have a quick turn around and are reasonably priced. 75 cents per sq. inch. Way cheaper than new from the manufactuer.

I have my front panel removed, waiting for a warmer day to remove the dash and glove box panel. I'll be dropping mine off as well. Pen...your in hib...correct? What pattern? I'd like to see the quality if your not opposed? I'm up there once a month or so.

Last summer I had the clear covering on my dash get semi washed off by the rain. This would be a great option but what would you do to reprint the labeling for all the switches?

If you have a Ranger, the wood grain is seperate from the buttons. All you have to do is unscrew two screws and it seperates. If you have something different, just give them a call and see what they suggest.

A picture of your new dashes would be great to see guys, depending on price this might be something people do just to seperate their boat from others.
