Is there such a thing?

I'm running a shoot thru which I love right now for walleye fishing but when I'm running my riggers I would like to be able to mark my rigger balls and more often then not I lose them when Salmon fishing due to fast trolling speeds due to my transducer not being mounted on my transom so I either thought about installing a additional skimmer mount and have a switch so I can pick which one I like to run or just run a seperate cable and just plug the one in I want to run, just an extra step instead of flipping a switch.

Probably wouldn't hurt to have a 83/200 or 50/200 with temp right on a skimmer. Now my shoot thru is 200 with no temp which sucks not have temp at times I use a handheld.

This is probably what you'll need.

This is the one you need to switch two transducers between
one head unit. Most internet marine electronics dealers sell this at
around $100. I just ordered one that is due FED X today.

I have shoot thru transducers and use a Lowrance ep-80r for temp,
I’m kind of surprised they didn’t rig your boat that way.Paul

Me too!! :smash: Where is your sensor located at? I've looked for one and tried to activate it but no luck, I also didn't know I had everything set up for a network but my buddy need to borrow my 3000 puck and sure enough I have one, how I would add to it I have no idea never really dug around to check it out. I have a old global map flush mounted in my dash I'm itching to replace. Maybe even get rid of the global map and my 38 and get a HDS-10...I have other priority's for extra spending at the end of the day. I did buy a speed N temp unit for salmon fishing recently! Can't wait to use that my catch rate will defintely go up...that's the way I look at upgrades, it it helps me catch more and or bigger fish I'll do it but it's just for fun or something fancier it slides down the list...as I get older I get my practical...I don't like that LOL.

There are two types of stand alone NMEA 2000 tempature senors. If you have one (and it's plugged in) you can see it listed on the NMEA 2000 network devices on your LCX 38. This is an excellent way to provide tempature, it can be viewed on any of the head units or gauges on the
network, and you can add as many sensors as you may need. I use the thru hull version.

Ahh maybe I do have one but it's just not set up to display on my overlay data than, when I tried to get it to show up I went to sonar data then tried to activate temp obviously nothing showed up..I guess I'll have to try going to NMEA data!

Man I hope I get lucky and have it. Otherwise why would I even have the network when I ordered my Ranger I only got 1 unit with it hmmmm.

Good looking out.

Kev if you need to add a ep 80r it’s very simple to do, just run the cable out the back of the boat attach the end to the hull with a screw and plug the other end into the network then activate the probe in your unit and your done. You can also add another one in the live well to keep an eye on it or the cooler to check if the beer is at the proper temp.Have a great Holiday talk to you in the spring.Paul

I was told a long time ago that if the beer gets warm it goes bad and wait a minute I’ve seen you in action and you think Kev and I have a problem at least we were still standing and not drooling on ourselves. Have a Merry Christmas and be safe in the New Year. Paul
