I was wondering if there has ever been any thought to a RCL team division? If there has been why did it not happen. How many guys out there that do not currently fish the RCL or similar events would fish them if there was a team divison? What does everyone think of this idea?

There are plenty of team events in place. The reason for the Pro/Co-angler format is to give the Co-anglers an opportunity to learn from more seasoned veterans while competing amongst themselves. It's a great way to learn new techniques. It gives veteran anglers a chance to share their wealth of knowledge with aspiring anglers and anglers who wish to refine their existing knowledge of the sport of fishing.
I believe it is a wonderful format and many great freindships arise from these chance meetings of Pro and Co-angler.

I wasn't saying that there was anything wrong with the Pro/Co-angler format I agree with you 100%. I was just wondering if there had ever been any thought as to adding a team divison for the guys like me say who are co-owners of boats and want to fish with their regular partner or with some one they know they will get along with. Also being a co-owner who gets to be the Pro and go where you want and who has to go where some else says.
A friend of mine who is quite an acomplished angler fished a bass tourny last year and was in the top 5 after the first 2 days on the 3 rd day he got teamed with "Pro" that did absolutlely teriable the first 2 days and on the 3rd took my buddie to the same spot he fished the first 2 days and my friend went from top 5 to like 30 something on the last day.
I'm not saying this is what happens all the time, acually it's the only time I've heard of it. But I'm sure there is people out there that think about the same thing happening.
I just wanted to say that I thought the additon of a team divison would be a good idea and was wondering what everyone else thought.

There are plenty of team tournaments. You can fish those and leave the RCL format as it is.

I have no idea if Operation Walleye has anything planned for team events. There are hundreds of team tournaments available already, so you should be able to find a circuit that fits you. Let me ask you this: What would you like to see in a high-profile team event that is not currently available?

Maybe you could email me and fill me in of some of the other teams events or circuts avaliable. Do they have the same kinda of payout as the RCL. Sounds like everyone thinks I want to change the RCL from what it is. Not true, maybe just add to it.

I know what you are looking for and the closest thing to it right now is the MWC. The thing that the RCL has going for it is lots of sponsor money because of the TV coverage and Wal-Mart being the Title sponsor, etc. This helps keep the entry fee down.

Would you be willing to pay say a $1500 per team entry fee each for a four tournament circuit if the first place was $50,000? I'm not sure how many people would.

Forgot to mention, just go to the tournaments page here at Walleye Central for a comprehensive list of team tournaments.
