i bought a new Lund 186 gl fisherman and i am having a few problems with trailer; first of all rubber finish is coming off in a few spots and winch pole moves about 8 inchs for and aft making it real hard to load boat properly. has any one else had problems? dealer is not really concerned.:help:

if your winch post looks like the one in this pic, there should probably be 2 bolts on the bottom side (underneath), that "squeeze" the mount and secure it to the frame rail. They may have been left loose, or 1 is missing?

yes i have those bolts as tight as i can get with out pulling the threads. if i cant get lund to fix it i will either cut bracket of bottom of pole and weld a 4 bolt flange on it or angle brace the old one; i shouldn't have to do this on a brand new trailer:mad:

Agreed you should not have to touch the trailer.I would make your dealer fix it and make you happy or call lund.Im still not sure how you have 8 inches of play something doesnt seem right.

Are these trailers really made by Lund now?? Unlikely. Unless something has changed recently, the trailer is probably made by whoever the dealer orders his trailers from. They come with Lund decals just to match the boat brand the dealer sells,or if custom, whatever model boat it was ordered for.
My "Lund" trailer is a Trailmaster. My buddy's "Lund" trailer is a Shorelander.

No... not made by Lund.
The glass Lunds sit on trailers made by Triton.
Take it to the dealer. Something is goofy when the winch post moves.
