Anyone used this years stingers yet ? I herd they inproved the paint so it will not chip off so fast, I just got about 40 spoons at Dicks they were on sale and was hopeing they will hold up better then last years paint job. If anyone knows if there better or the same please post your report.

I talked to them at Fishing Shows at the Silver Dome and at the Palace in Michigan and they said that the problem was taken care of.We will just have to wait and see and if its still bad we should raise #### with them.

If you got them at Dick's they are still probably last years spoons. I didn't get very much on resupply this year. And we get them from a supplier, not the company that makes them. Some colors may be the new spoons. Such as Monkey Puke is named Copper Puke on the package of new ones.

Fish Hound if I read your post right the spoons I got are still last years spoons. how would I know for sure? Monkey puke is on the one color spoons so they are last years stock right. I hope not cause I guss I will be painting them with clear nail polish to keep the paint on another year.

It's going to take some time for the old stock on the shelves to get bought and replaced with the new and improved paint. Unfortunately for you, it looks like you just did a great big favor for those that follow behind you. To be on the safe side I'd break out the nail polish as you said and clear coat them all just so your big investment doesn't seem wasted one month into the season. That's a lot of spoons to take a chance on the new paint being on every one of them. Nail polish is fairly cheap insurance.

As Supertroller stated it will take some time for the old ones to be bought up. I got 2 when my last shipment came in. When I was putting them in the box tonight, I noticed one says copper monkey puke and the other just said monkey puke. Maybe last of the bunch from last year.

Take a good look at the back of the spoon. One is probably on silver and the other on copper. If they are both the same then it was marked wrong.
