New perch limit in Canada

It's my understanding that Canada is implementing a perch limit of 50 fish per day per person. Does anyone know if that limit is already in effect? If not yet, has the effective date been determined?

Are you referring to the new Ontario limits for Lake Erie and the Detroit River? My license book says that they will be going into effect some time in 2002, but doesn't say exactly when.

Yes, I'm referring to the Ontario perch limit on Lake Erie and the Detroit River.
