My fav bait of all time is a #3 jiggin rapala....Walleye will gobble it down and its still small enough for a perch to gobble down, even small perch.
There will be guys that agree and disagree with me. Everyone will have their go to bait and they will all be diff. I happen to have alot of conficence with a jiggin rapala. For some it maybe a swedish pimp or a slender spoon ect.....Good Luck!

#3 and #4 Salmo Chubby Darters in the new Holographic Glow Red paterns, Halies with dropper chains for perch in deeper water, Buckshot Rattle Spoons, the new Hexie Jig by Northland...some very choices in getting some fish in the hole there.

I enjoy using a minnow/wax worm and slip bobber on one rod, and jigging a rapala or swedish pimple on the other. You can catch a variety this way.

Swedish Pimple Do-Jigger is a good start. Smaller one for perch. Larger for eyes. Tipped with head or whole minnow.

not sure what some of you pimple users do but i take of the trebble hook then tie a short 2"-4" fluro or my fav is the fireline crystal to a small single hook and tip with a minnow head.

just go with a colored hook, and a shiner minnow. golden shiners seem to be the best.

I'll second the Jigging Rap (perch color or silver & black) and Buckshot Rattle Spoon. Those are farrrrrr and away my best producers. Have a plain hook & bobber combo ready to go, too, in case of a finicky bite. Buckshot spoons w/a dropper attached can be good in those times as well.

As far as i'm concerned you can't beat the #3 jigging rap in silver or gold second best is the smaller swedish pimples in gold

I would use #4 or #6 octo hooks of assorted colors on tip-ups, try and see what they are hitting on. Also you can slip one or two beads of various colors above the hook. Shiners are good for walleye, but I would try some fatheads in the mix you may pick up some perch on the smaller minnow. Here is what we caught yesterday.

We use a buckshot rattle for perch, and my best set up is a blue Mr. Champs on my set line with a bluse jig-a-whopper on my jigging rod
