I'm going on a caribou hunting trip in Canada in september, and am looking for travel rod I can pack in my duffel that will survive the trip. I'm not looking to spend a lot on it, as fishing is secondary, and this will probably be the only time I ever use the thing. Fish in the area are primarily lake trout and northern pike. Space is a big issue, so a conventional rod in a tube is not an option.

Check out the Fish Eagle II Travel rods at Cabela's. If you are looking for a rod/reel combo the Tempest/Pro Guide combo is a nice combo that should be in your price range.
