Congratulations Danny on a great finish in your first RCL as a pro. You did an outstanding job. Keep up the great work!

Yes sir, a job well done. A 5 fish limit that weighed 35lbs+ nice job young man 2nd place for the 19 yr old pro. A mere pound and half behind the winner Jeff Russell who weighed in 37+ lbs. Nice job to all the fisherman and fisherwoman that fished the RCL in my home state and my second home the Detroit River. Another at-a-boy to the DWF for the fine job they did in the 4 days of fishing.

Now I have to beat two of you?! lol I remember when you were just a little guy that stayed back on shore with that trooper mom of yours, while Dan Sr. fished those early MWC events in the mid 80's. I never thought I'd be competing against those rug rats! lol Gonna be a big team someday....oh no!!!
Way to go Dan Jr. !! And way to go Dan Sr. and mom for making it all happen.

My plan was fairly good. I was on the reefs on Lake Erie catching an easy 14-18lbs./day. That was the plan...
The engine failed the first day and I didn't fish. The weather was mean but slip bobbering was a great way to battle the wind with. Done it many times. But I'm just glad to make it in alive. The second day was nice weather and the engine was "fixed". Well....plagued is the right word, I guess.
So, chin up and on to Lake Sharpe!!!

Congratulations Danny Jr. and I'll bet Danny Sr. feels he himself won. I know when my son does good I feel excited as if I did the actual fishing. I was proud to see My son Tim cash a check after the goose egg the first day. PROUD OF OUR BOYS !!!!!!!
