What would you pay for a 2005 Lund 1800 Fisherman with a 175hp Mercury Optimax? The boat was purchased new in 2007, so the motor is still under full warranty. The boat is in pretty good condition, about a 8.5-9 out of 10. The owner is asking $21,500. What do you guys think? Is this a pretty good deal?

Thanks!!!

What kind of electronics are you or would u be getting as well as a bow mount? A lil more info about the boat would make it easier for us to help you out.

It currently has a 80lb Minnkota on the bow, a lowrance 520c on the dash, an extra 4th seat, conversion bow w/bow cushions and bolsters, I believe it has a white prestige bunk trailer, and the motor has 70 hours.

I would say with how well the boat is equipped, low hours on the motor, upgraded horsepower (versus 140 Johnson 4s or 150HP options), warranty remaining, nice trailer, and the demand the Fisherman models have, that it's not a bad value. The thing to consider is how much those cost new and with how few used options you may find (especially with the perks of the options listed before) that you're getting a lot of boat for the $20 grand range. Of course it would be nice if you could spend less but that would only be a bonus! But it doesn't hurt to ask right? Take care, just my opinions - happy angling!

I always ask myself, If I had to dump this thing tomorrow what could I get for it? If you could take no or little loss on it then it is a good deal. If it is not sold by now it might not be, as good deals usually are gone in days.

I had a buddy that bought a 2003 1800 Fisherman with an F115 on it. He paid more than that for it, used it for 2 year's and sold it for what he paid for it. So, it sound's like a pretty good deal to me.

Seems like a good price? Boat prices can be tough because NADA prices are usually off on boats and if you talk to a bank they go by the NADA prices. Look around at boats that are 5-10yrs older than that boat and see what they are going for and look at new prices. Talk to the bank and see what they think of the price? That might give you a better idea on what kind of pricing is on this boat and what it might possibly be worth in a few years etc. It seems that lunds hold their value very well.

Standard Merc warranty in '07 was three years. So, if he bought it in March of '07, there would be two months warranty left on the motor. Of course, it's possible that he either paid for an extended warranty, or received one as a promotion.

I called Mercury, they ran the serial # of the motor, and it is warrantied through August 2010.
