I almost always have an open seat for the lower river from now til spring.
steelhead, brown trout, lakers with an occasional muskie or sturgeon
also lake erie eastern basin mostly all summer, walleye and smallmouth
19 1/2 starcraft with 115 Merc

I have fished with rebs a few times and have had a heckuva good time. Very knowledgeable and a good rig. We are gonna have to hit the niagara pretty soon. I am getting the itch again, and god knows, the hardwater action has been for sheet.

Rebs do you fish on the weekends?
I've been dying to hit the river/bar for some laker/steelie action in February or early march.

yes I do hit the river weekends, depending on wind and water conditions, lately it has been windy and a thaw with rain has turned the water too muddy to fish. It should clear up in a few days
perhaps we could set something up with you and Komo to get you both out

Rebs- Hello- my name is Pete. I live down here in Youngstown. I would like to fish with you sometime this Season, if you have an open seat. I have fished all over and am out on the River and Lake when time and smoth waters let me. I have a small Crestliner but don't have my big boat anymore with the riggers, boards, etc.If you ever need the conditions for here, let me know and I will give them to you 1st hand. I am in the Fire Company here and I am always around town seeing I am retired now. I have been fishing for 40 years or so and just getting ready for our annual 1000 mile jaunt up into Ontario. I have a lot of my own gear( my wife says " TOO MUCH!") and would share whatever you may not have.Give me a call or post here and if your'e down here, can meet for coffee. Take care, Pete

I am getting over bronchitis and sinus infection. Fishing has been slow this last week, we'll see what it looks like next week and get out a day. Depending on the weather conditions and water clarity

Have a son stationed at the Great Lakes Navy Base that love to fish.He would be interested in a trip if possible. Where are you located from the Great Lakes Base. If you are not too far, I could Have him get in touch with you.

We are on the Niagara River in Youngstown NY. The Navy base I think you are referring to is in Illinois, correct? If so hes quite the distance away. If he was stationed at Coast Guard Niagara, that would be great.
