X-15MT Ticks?

Used my new finder for the first time yesterday, sure is a super
unit. While fishing I heard this ticking sound , finally I narrowed
it down to the finder, Is this normal ? Thanks in advance.

yep, the transducer clicks and picks up the sound after it bounces off the bottom, then calculates the depth on how long it took that "click" to come back.

It you put your hand under the transducer whil on, you can feel it too.

I have never heard any such sound out of my X15. Maybe a flasher, or if I hold my ear to the transducer, maybe, but not at the unit. Hope you dont have to fly to any tournaments, and get thru security at the airport lol Call LEI up tomorrow, and find out whats going on.
