The G3s` are double plated from front to back, Correction; I think some smaller models are only double plated in the bow as Lund does. They have extra large rivets and are double riveted where the hull and transome meet.
I dont own one I have a Lund Fisherman. I`ve looked at these boats and they seem to have as good of a build quality as Lund and Alumacraft.
I`d buy one. I do like the FS models better wide gunnels. The gunnels on the F are narrow. The 175FS has the wide gunnels.
G3s parent company is Yamaha, Yamaha builds a quality product
In fact my Lund is a 1650 if I had the money I`m almost certain I`d upgrade to a G3 1850 FS.

I say G3 is right at the top of the heap for quality in the aluminum boat. You will most likley have to have a Yamaha on the transome unless you pay extra to have a different motor.

From what I've been told they hired alot of people away from Lund and Alumacraft.
