I was attending our local outdoors show this weekend and noticed a new 2010 Lund 1650 Renegade. It's similar to the Alaskan 1600 tiller only a little lighter and no built in fuel tank or live well. It also has open pole holders along the sides (instead of storage boxes for the livewell and poles). This made it feel very open and roomy.

Has anyone heard of this model and has oppinons? I cannot find any details on the lundboats.com site.

Theres a video on the other walleye website. Looks like a wicked boat. What was the price at the show?

The sticker on it was somewhere around 13-14K with a galvanized ez loader trailer and a 25-hp electric start power trim mercury 4-stroke. I did pick up a flyer and it has a picture of the same boat in the video you mentioned. Here are the other specs from the flyer:

1) Length 16.6
2) Weight 690 lbs.
3) HP 25-min and 50-max
4) Beam 82 inches
5) No built in fuel tank or live/bait well

The boat reminds me of an Alaskan 1600 tiller without the extra's. The floor seems lower which give it high sides. Probably becuase there is no under floor fuel tank??? It also had the nice Lund rail system with downrigger mounts. To me a great boat with everything I would need except for the missing live well.

Deep basic boat. West Coasters have been using this type of boat for years.
It is kind of like the old "Laker"...only bigger, deeper, brawnier.

Has anyone bought one of these or tried one on the water?

I want to see if this Lund 1650 Renegade Sport is available in Ontario. Best new boat in it's class? I just started my search so does anyone know where this boat is available. Could be very interested depending on price, maximum weight capacity allowed etc. I have heard the maximum weight capacity is 1075 lbs and boat weights 855 lbs. A no nonsence fishing boat is what I want. Deep sides, dual counsel/windshield, Great Lakes top with side curtains, large rear floor area for downrigging and fighting fish. Please reply if you know somewhere in Ontario that this boat is available, cost etc.
