I just returned from the RCL in Detroit which was only my second major tournament. Fortunately, I was able to put in a respectable showing and I wanted to let you know that your Hot Map of the Detroit River was a major factor in my fishing success, not to mention steering me away from the many navigational hazards in the river. With the help of the Detroit River Hot Map in my Lowrance Global Map 1600, I was able to precisely follow the bottom contours as I pole-lined crankbaits up, down and around the breaks. Being able to see and anticipate changes in depth in such a snag-filled environment allowed me to avoid hanging up. This allowed me to keep four baits in the water all day maximizing my catching opportunities while the jiggers spent precious time tying on more and more jigs. During the first two days, I never lost a lure and only one weight. Of all the 'tools' I used during this tournament, your Hot Map was the most important.
