I'm going to replace hooks and split rings on a bunch of my Rapalas, shad raps etc. with triple grips. Do I need long or short shank hooks for these? Where is cheapest place to get them by the hundred? Thanks for any help.

I don't know if this is cheap to you or not, but here it is anyways.

Short Shank works best for me.

out in Oregon land where the walleyes grow bigger and they are really good at hiding where I can't find them!

Funny you ask, I've replaced all my #7-10 raps w/tripple grip short shank. I just threw out the magazine to buy in bulk and don't know of the email address. Company is calle "Netcraft"- ask around, sure someone has address/telephone number.

I change all my hooks to Mustad Triple Grips when they come out of the new package. I buy mine at Stamina Tackle, another post gave you the address. I am waiting for my next shipment thanks to Bass Pro Shops Spring Classic. I use all long shanks on my Thundersticks and ShadRaps and Rapalas, The only hooks I do not change are the hooks that come on the Excaliber lures, they are the rotating hooks, Now that is one ##### of a hook! But comes with a hefty price tag, can't find them anywhere in bulk. Any body help me out in that department?

Thanks for the input guys. Any reason you like one over the other? As for the excalibur hooks, I see stamina does not even give quantity. They are just priced "per card". If I were a rich man, huh. Really good sharp hooks though. Thanks.

Got some from Hagen's. www.hagensfish.com 1-800-541-4586 I think triple grips should be around 15 cents each and you can order any quantity you want. Prices are quoted per thousand.
