i have a 15ft aluminum/40hp and a shourlander trailer, it is a small boat may be 800-1000lb without the trailer, i want to add brakes since i dont have a big car, i have been reading some and would like to add disc brakes, can someone guide me ?

Here's an article to look at by Champion Trailers. They tend to like drum brakes better than disc's on lighter trailers.

thanks, i read that, but also i read somewhere that drum brakes need freqent adjustment, any idea if i can get a disc brake kit for small trailer?

the top 2 in this list are for as small as 10" wheels.

Disc's are the way to go.

I just replaced my drum with disk last year, Best choice I've made in a long time. Go disk you wont be disapointed. Champion trailer has everything you need.
