I brought a boat last year with a rather rusty trailer and have decided to give it a new paint job. I have ground down all the rust and have it all ready to paint. I was just kind of wondering what everyone has been using to prevent rust underneath and then what everyone is using for actually paint? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

I'd contact someone that does spray on "tuff coat" or the like. There's becoming more and more guys that do it and the cost isn't what it used to be. Or, if you want to do it yourself, buy the roll on bedliner and have at it. If you do some online research there are quite a few places that sell it in all sorts of colors and consistencies. It'll hold up way better than paint.

Premium tractor paint. It's far better than rustoleum or krylon water base. Hard to spray you need a good warm day as it drips. Primer, flat paint then clear.
