Has anyone tried the Lakemaster 1' contour map of Leech Lake? If nobody has tried Leech, are the other Lakemaster maps okay? Can I easily tranfer all the waypoints and routes from my Lowrance GlobalMap 1600 Map Create program? Thanks.

I have the Leech Lake 1 foot contours. Although I haven't compared it on open water, my waypoints transfered right on the money. I assume you should be able to download as you stated.

Yesterday I took the Reelbottom 1-foot contour map of Leech and the Walleye Whiffer of Leech, a DNR map, and my Leech Hotspots map and laid all four of them out on the foor. I got down on my hands and knees and began to compare them. It was very revealing to say the least. The 1-foot contours are incredible. There are several things that stood out. Of the contours, there's no question that the hotspots map and the DNR map had the least accuracy. They are mostly identical. The thing that surprised me about the whiffer was the shapes of the reefs and contours. It looks like somebody took a pencil and just drew on the whiffer map, but when compared to the reelbottom, the shapes of the reefs are remarkably accurate. The Hotspots and DNR maps are not even close.
Now I'm not trying to be negative about Hotspots products, because they are the standard and for a long time have been what we all depend on. Plus, remember that the 1-foot contour maps do not have marked spots and fishing information, which alone makes the hotspots map worth buying. But as far as detail, the 1-foot contour maps are really amazing. I'll be buying the computer version, and the hard versions for Mille Lacs and Gull too.

I've used the computer version over the winter and have found it to be the best map you can buy. I cannot wait to get on the water to view many places that I found on the map that I've never fished.
I would highly recommend this map.

Your observations sound EXACTLY like my experience when I took Mille Lacs maps offered by Reel Bottom, King Tutt's, and Hot Spots. I posted nearly an identical post on a similar Mille Lacs question. Given my experiences comparing the Mille Lacs products, I am not surprised to read your thoughts on the Leech maps.

Thanks for the responses so far. Another question. When you buy the Leech 1' map, it sounds like you get the top 100 also. Is that the case?

Yes for a set amount you have a choice of 1 of 5 big lakes in 1' contours plus another 100 lakes that are big names with only 5' contours on them.
The Mille Lacs version is 89$ plus shipping.
