Need Help! Trying to download the new 2.2.0 version and keep coming up with this. A required.DLL file,MSVBVM60.DLL, was not found. What the **** is this? Where do I get this from to complete the upgrade? Thanks to all who answer. JJ

Well, something went on to the MMC card. Will find out tomorrow if it is the new 2.2.0 version when I put it in the unit. Thanks! Hope it worked. JJ

One plus that I saw was the ability to rotate Navionics maps. No longer are we forced to operate where N is at the top of the screen. No we should be able to set track up instead.

OK,
After speaking to Lowrance it is now installed in the unit. There is a misprint in the instructions. Here is what it should look like to get the job done....C:\gpscode\UpdateSH.exe ..... In the directions it does no include the ( exe ) and the SH needs to be Capitol letters. If still having problems call Lowrance, they will help you over the phone. Hope this works for all you. Thanks for the help. JJ

The file msvbvm60.dll is a standard file used by developers. The 1st 4 letters stand for ms( Microsoft ) vb ( Visual Basic ). You should be able to get it from microsoft or lowrance should have provided it since they provided the software for the unit. For more information on the file go to www.google.com and search your file name. There is information on it.

ok,ok,ok,i was wrong.... again! why are they making us use winzip to open and put this to the mmc? i had an evaluation version of winzip cause im too cheap to buy it and i believe that is why im getting the error message about the dll's. so now im gonna get a new version of the evaluation version and try it again. hey j.j. any luck yet?

I installed it this morning. I called Lowrance and they helped. Check # 12 out for the help you need. See if that works for you. It did for me. JJ
I had trouble installing the update to the MMC card when using Win XP.
I was getting the following error. "Run-time error '438' Object
doesn't support this property or method"
Lowrance advised me to install their Sonar Viewer software which is available free from their web site. I did that and everything worked fine after that.

Interesting Doc,
I got the same error as you and already had the sonar viewer downloaded. Maybe they have a newer version on the net that I need to download. Thanks for possibly saving me a call.

maybe im clueless, but i bought my boat used and it has a x-15mt in it. i want to upgrade it. How do i format my mmc card using a computer. i have NO way to link computer to x-15

YOU DONT FORMAT THE MMC,AND YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN OR NEED TO GET AN MMC INTERFACE THAT PLUGS INTO YOUR PC SO YOU CAN UPLOAD THE UPDATE TO YOUR MMC. THEN YOU PUT THE MMC INTO YOUR LCX15 AND TURN IT ON. THE UNIT LOADS THE UPDATE AUTOMATICLY.IM SURE YOU CAN ORDER THE MMC INTERFACE THRU LEI ACCESSORIES OR CALL THE GUY YOU BOUGHT THE BOAT FROM AND SEE IF HE HAS IT.OR LOOK AROUND IN THE BOAT!

Hi,
I got my MMC card at Staples a 32mb for $29.00 its a Sandisk and its much cheaper than LEI. I also ordered a MMC Cardreader on the net for
$25.00 the want $58.00 at LEI. I'll let you know if this works I have
the reader on the way. My x-15 I purchased about 2 weeks ago and it was the 2.1 version and could be upgraded to 2.2 which I will attempt when I get the Cardreader/writer, stay in touch
