LSS-1 transducer install

Just purchased a new Alumacraft Tournament 195 Sport boat and ordered Lowrance HDS 8 and LSS-1 Structure Scan. HDS is on the way with LSS-1 coming later. My question is, has any one mounted a LSS-1 transducer on a boat similar to mine? Where did you mount it? I do not have a jack plate and my transom is straight with no step. Pictures would be a great help if you have them. Thanks in advance for the help.

I would mount it right next to your standard transducer. The LSS-1 will come with a bracket so it can mount on your transom. You might want to mount it a little higher than standard trans the LSS-1 is not designed to be in water at high speeds and your structure scan does not work at high speeds anyway.

I have a Lowe Roughneck and I didn't want to drill holes in the transom. I have used this mount for 6 years with no problem. Cabellas item # IA-010095. When I got my LSS1 I bought another one and mounted it right next to it and it has worked great.
