Wondering if anybody has tried the new Hot Spot MMC card that fit the Global Map 3000. Do they have very much detail or is the Navonics card better.

I tried the Hot Spot card for my Garmin 182 last weekend @ Kentucky Lake. The Detail was OK, but the contours didn't come close to matching up with my depth finder(lawrance 3000mt). Also there were underwater objects on the hot spot map like brush piles, foundations etc. and I could never find any relationship with where they were on the map and where they actually were.

I have region 5 wis, min, il. It works fine I don't have the 3000 I have a 15mt. The detail is there if you zoom in!

capt tim...i saw the hot spots mmc for the first time today.i don't think they are as accurate as navionics but we were not on the water either.my friend got about 6 or 7 big lakes and a couple small ones for about $125,including the card. so they're cheaper. again we were not on water but they don't look quite as nice. did you know the new program is out so you can run them coarse up now?
