I have been trying to use mapcreate, and it is a mess... I talked to a dealer today who said the Navionics Navplanner is decent. All I want to do is consolodate, clean up, eliminate duplicate waypoints. I am approaching the limit of my Lowrance 26HD, so I have a lot of waypoints. Too many to manage on the unit itself... THoughts? how is the Navplanner? Any others worth looking at?

THanks

Try EasyGPS. It's a freeware program. Works just fine. You can change your file type from the Lowrance .usr to go into Bird or Garmin format also. It's pretty good for free.

The next program up is about $60.00 and adds features, but the EasyGPS handles waypoint management just fine.

That is what works for me.

Ray,

Thanks a TON. Simple, easy to use, all I needed... I have been struggling with that (@$^#@ map create for too long. I greatly appreciate your tip.

Glad it worked for you. One of my friends from Walleye101 turned me on to it.

What's the trick to opening a .usr file? It only opens .loc, .gpx .zip

Thanks,
Mike
