I'm getting ready for the weather to break and will be a new angler out on Lake St Clair. Any help on where some good spots may be once they make their run into the lake?

Thanks!

A few places we have had luck later in June, July, Aug. has been the dumping grounds,St.Clair light and the middle channel. Try 2oz. bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses. Body baits will work also but keeping them free of weeds is a pain in the @##! We might get out this weekend and try some jigging on the river, our walleye club (LSCWA) has a derby the following weekend so we're going to try to get on some fish. If anyone else has been out and done any good, please e-mail me with any info...Thanks in advance and good luck!!!! ><> ><> ><> AL

The area around Peche Island is going to take of soon. Most of the fishing there is done while vertical jigging. Around the 3rd week of May the fishing in the lake while get going better. Try the area off Stoney point of the Canadian side or around the "C-can" which is also Canadian. The C-can is between Gross Point Yacht Club and the Hiram Walkers Ball on Canadian side in the West end of the Lake. Slow trolling bottom bouncers is the way to go in either place. You're going to find out that you'll want a Canadian License to really go where the fish are alot of the time. They are avalible at the bait shack just down river from the City of Windsor Marina which is right by Peche Island.

Good luck and have fun on your "new" lake
