Does anyone know if the river is open and out in to the lake? Also herd they are going to be doing some dregdeing in the river?

From what i understand they are just drilling but will be blowing up the river in a couple weeks and the dredging should be over in June. The whole spring river bite could be totally lost this depending on the weather and when they are dredging. Last time i was up was the 2nd and the river was open to the mouth but much of the bay was froze up. Friend was up on last sunday and only got two bites (no fish) and also didn't see a thing caught. The bite might change with the warmer weather. Good fishin. Brian B.
I just returned from there, today. River is open, surface temp 40*, some dredging going on. There was access to the bay on Monday.... However, the wind had blown loose ice in front of the river mouth. It was impassable, as was the Oconto. Fishing is sloooow!

Dredging is to continue for 16 weeks.

Thanks for the update guys. I have a freind up there today he will let me know how they did and iwill pass it along. I plan on going up the weekend of the 19th forsure. My partner was going to go but he has a turkey tag to fill that week. Now I am finding a new partner for that weekend.
