I've just installed a NAV 6500 in my Lund and I know it's installed per the manufacturer's specs. Even after inputting an initial position that came from my Garmin 12 XL the Magellan seems to take forever ( 20 minutes ) sometimes to calculate it's position fix. I'd hate to have to rely on the unit if it takes that long to lock on... Anybody use this unit or have any suggestions ? Thank you...

sounds like you should return the magellan for technical problems and go buy a GARMIN!
Wave Runner - I have the same unit and the only time it takes longer than 30 seconds to lock on is if it is in the garage. Make sure you recieving module is unobstructed. One you get this thing working, it will be the best toy you have ever purchased.
