Ok, I have used Cabela’s white innerflow trolling rods for several years and I really like them. But I’d like some advice before I experiment with the inner cast baitcast rods for jigging or casting. Anyone have any experience with them? Thumbs up or down?

Thanks in advance

I would give a thumbs up if your fishing with a 1/4oz jig or heavier. I bought a PlatinumZX innercast spinning rod from cabelas last year and I seem to like it allot. It works great for vertical jigging and casting with over a 1/4oz lure. I also use powerpro so I do not know how well theese rods work with monofillament. If I was going to buy a rod for casting I would buy a Diawa innercast. The have some riffleing thing threw the rod to make it cast better. I dont know if it works but it seems to catch my eye when I look at one. What kind of reel are you thinking of putting on?

Thanks for the info, I have a 2001 model Pflueger Supreme with the flipping switch that I'll use at least for starters. However I might change to a curado or something if I do not use the rod for bottom bouncing. I also will probably use fireline or powerpro, I used to use Berkley Whiplash but I am down to my last 2 spools and I can't find anymore so I'm going to save it for my spinning equipment.

I had one from Cabela's and liked alot. Unfortunately when the tackle box slid into it while in the back of the pick-up it snapped very quickly. Other rods may not have broken. Not sure though. I just think of those times in the boat when your rods get abused. When I have traveled to Canada to fish I don't want to worry about breaking my favorite rod.
