Hey i keep on having a problem with minnows being sucked out the hole in my livewell is there a way i can buy a screen or something that will filter the water but not them minnows

i went to the hardware store and bought some mesh wire that they had for scraps and a clamp of some sort and walllllaaaaa! no more minnows out of the live well.

Which hole - are the minnows being sucked?
For my boat - I have open pipes in the livewell for the return, in which minnows were being sucked. I simply installed a livewell pump screen. It clips right on the pipe and takes care of the problem.
If you are having them sucked out the large hole in the side - then, you can get a fitting that will slip right in the hole with a coarse mesh on the front.
Most marine dealers carry them.
