Memorial Day will produce a few fish, but let's also take some time for remembrance. Specifically, let's follow-up with at least two things for America's surviving vets -- 1) Get Congress to fund adequate care at VA hospitals; and 2) Lobby to get universal fishing/hunting licenses for disabled vets.

absolutely! vets should get free hunting/fishing lic. after protecting the great old USA, it's the least that could be done. can't say enough......

Free fishing and hunting for disabled vets would be appropriate. As for free fishing and hunting for all vets, no way.I did my time, and by the grace of god am still able to afford one of lifes more pleasant pastimes.A lot of us probably feel the same way.

I agree Larry g, but even though my home state treated me well, ie. free college, bonus, etc. It would be nice if we could pay resident fees for fishing and hunting. Some of us had to leave the state to find jobs. I will still go back and fish every summer even if they do not change the fees. Just a thought! Thanks for listening!
