2007 lund pro V horn

Ok Gentlemen..I have come to my wits end. My horn doesn't honk..all it does is make a funny buzzing sound. It willl blow a five amp fuse in a second. I just pulled the horn off the boat and tried it on a batery and works like a charm. Pulled the switch panel and checked the wires coming off the switch all is well there. Pulled the wires off the switch and jumped them and the horn makes that funny buzzing sound. So where do I go from here?? Could it be something in the fuse box set up or is there some kind of duwickie somewhere that needs looking at. Any help here would be welcome..I have to have a horn to be legal on Kansas waters.

I'd run a temporary set of wires from the switch to the horn, and see what happens. Since you're blowing fuses, I'll bet there's a pinched or bare wire between the switch and the horn.

I had the same problem on my 2000 pro v. I ended up running new wires and came to the conclusion that it wasn't grounded properly
