I fished Eagle Lake a couple of years ago and stayed at South shore Lodge. Remote location, good fishing, nice people and good facilities. Jerry

For muskies and pike, it's one of the best lakes you can go to in the area. Good walleye numbers and lots of action, but not too many trophy sized walleyes. Smallies are really hard to catch in the summer, but pick up again in Sept. Century Lodge is right on Osborne and the best fishing is right there around the resort. Have never stayed there, but busted a prop outside and got help from the owner. Real nice guy and it seems like a nice place. One more thing: careful with the boat around the resort and watch out for submerged rocks. Good luck!

Steve Herbeck's place is the place to be. Andy Meyers Lodge is a great lodge with top notch guides and services. Osbourne Bay is like a sewer of Eagle. If anyone says there are no trophy walleyes in Eagle, then they should maybe go and troll the open water up West during the heat of the summer in July and August. How many 25 plus inch fish do you want??????

I think you got your info wrong Rob. If you did a little research you would know that the lake actually flows from south to north so Osbourne is in fact the cleaner end of the lake (the reference to Osbourne being the sewer of eagle was quite ignorant). The water is stained because of the vegetation which is actually beneficial to actually catching fish instead of just seeing them. If you enjoy Andy Meyers which I see you do then say so without making unprofessional statements about other areas, ok. Remember you are a professional.

We've fished out of Temple Bay Lodge on Eagle the last five years in a row, always the third week of July. Eagle is nice, and we've had some good years and some off years (we fish primarily walleye). We always get down to Osbourne a few times during the week we're there. The area you'd be staying in is shallower and the water is more stained than other areas of the lake, which can be great depending on your timing, since the mayfly hatch begins and ends there earlier than the deeper, main area of the lake.
