Charger question for Sue

I have a Guest 2623 charger in my boat. Last year I had lead acid batteries, but this year I put in Gel cells. The literature that came with the charger says it will charge either one but I've always read that gel cells have different charging chareteristics.
Can you shed some light on how your chargers handle both types of batteries?

Hey Mike!

Guest chargers are set to not exceed the maximum voltage settings of 14.2 volts DC for gel cell batteries. Although flooded batteries can accept higher voltages, they will charge fully at the lower settings.
