Trolling Motor ? for Ranger 620

I just bought a 2007 620 Ranger and it has a 80lb Terrova 24 volt on it. Is it hard to replace it with a 36 volt Terrova, as far as wiring? Also what type of rock protector do most of you run to protect your boats from gravel while towing? Thanks for the help.

easy enough to change motors,but might be costly,battery,charger,motor.
