Detroit Lighthouse Area

Are there any good areas to fish betwwen the mouth of the detroit river and the detroit river lighthouse. If so what methods would be used this time of year. Planning a trip next week Saturday and Sunday.

Jim, you will find many humps and ridges in that area and in my experience drifting is the way to go. I use a 1/2 to 1oz. slinky 6 inches below a triple swivel, a 4 foot leader tied to a floating jig completes the rig. 6 pound test spiderwire gives you the feel you need for those very light strikes. hold the rod tip high when you feel the nibble drop the rod tip and strike when the slack is gone, good luck.
