mule lake longville MN

has anyone fished this lake and had much luck? We will be in this area on the weekend of may 17 and 18 and would like some help in hooking some fish.

I drive by it all the time and keep telling myself I should try it out one of these days but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I've heard it is a decent lake but sorry, I don't have any details for you. I hope someone else can give you a few pointers (I'd be happy to hear 'em too).

My father used to have a lake home on Girl Lake, and we would go over to Mule Lake in the winter time. I have taken some of the largest crappies of my life out of that little lake. This was back in the early 70's, and don't have any idea about now. The lake has only a few deep spots in it, and that is where we fould the crappies through the ice. If I remember right the access was really bad, but that may have changed by now. Give it a shot, and let us know if those slab crappies are still there......Good Fishin'
