Waypoint transfer

I have a new hds 5 and want to transfer my waypoints from my 522.
I saved them on my 522 to a sd card but when I go to load them on the hds it puts
my waypoints plus tons of other waypoints from what looks to be old routes.
How do I just get my saved waypoints onto the hds?

You need to delete from your 522 wpts routes trails you don't want on the card first then save the wpts you want on the card then to the HDS.

It sounds like maybe you have some old routes on your 522. I would suggest copying the .usr file to your computer, then opening it with waypoint management software such as GDM6 (Lowrance) or Ozi Explorer. It makes editing and deleting waypoints much more user friendly. After you make your changes, save the file, copy to your SD card, then load the card on the HDS.
