Thinking of picking up a set of the TraxsTech vertical tree (3 rod holder).
Anyone used em? If so, did they keep the spread on inlines as good as they say? Only downside to me, being shorter, is lifing the rod away from the boat, afraid I might send one for a swim :howdy:

Just bought a set last season, use them for both salmon and walleye. Extremely well built, very satisfied with them. I like the strap that allows you to use them for rod storage when moving from one spot to another. The tubes are adjustable for height and angle, you can have your rods pointing any way you want for seperation on the boards.

Thanks for the feedback.........
Would you choose them over the horizontal tree's? Mostly trolling mini dipsy and inline planers on the bay.

I have a set of the 3 position trees and they are great. I like how the riser is a piece of vertical track and you move the rod holders up and down to get the spread right. Also they have other accessories you can put in the vertical track. I dont have bunch of drink holders in my boat so i put a could in the vertical track and they work great too.

Sounds good, do you have to mount them more center of the boat? I have 3' of track that is mostly towards the rear of the boat.
Many thank-Fishbones

You may want to check out Great Lakers Planers out of Three Mile Bay, NY. They have some very unique masts, trees, etc...

Also Look at the Big Jon ones. I like how you can move these back and forth not just up and down.

Well I broke down and got the 3-Tree vertical's from Traxstech. Man, they are built well and I am hoping they work as well for inlines as everyone says. Many thanks for all the feedback.

Are there any other tree style rodholders that use a low profile mounting base (aside from traxtech)? I'd like to mount them on the gunnell of my boat but can't leave a 5" tall base attached to the boat.

bio, some of the ones mentioned in this thread work in a track like the TraxsTech. The track is only 3/4 of an inch high or so. The rod holders are easily removed with 2 thumb screws when not in use.

You can order directly from TraxsTech.com online or my local dealer, Freeway Sports in Fenton MI, had 10% off for Walleye 101 fishing seminar attendees so I took advantage and made my purchase.
I know this is an old thread but i purchased the Traxstech 3 tree vertical and mounted on my 621 Ranger based on this thread. I used the 24 in. (I believe) track to mount it just behind the front seats. They are really well made, keep your lines apart nicely and keep the entire back of the boat clear. I think they may even be more welcome to a smaller boat where space is a premium. Since having them I have used them up on Green Bay and have yet to use any of my Scotty rod holders. Best purchase I have made in a long time. I don't know the company personally or get anything from them......just really love the product!
