My 21p Tempest will only get me about 5000 rpm's. Which prop will put me to the 5400 or so that I should be at. The motor is in the third whole, so can't be raised any further. I am looking at the Turbo prop. Any suggestions?

If you liked the Tempest you have, why not get it in a 19 pitch? They now make that size, and it should raise your final rpms by about 300-400 rpms. I have the same situation you do, i am turning q 21 Tempest at 5200-5300 with a 150 EFI (different hull) and will be purchasing another (19 pitch Tempest Plus) in about a week. One place you might want to check for Mercury props ( I've ordered from them with good service and prices) is Jaco's Marine

What speed are you running (GPS)? The reason I ask that the Tac's on most boats are not acurate. It is not uncommon for them to be off by 400rpms. If you are running 50 to 55mph thats all there is. I have a 150efi and run both 21p high-5 and lazer II with no proplem 52mph. Full load, maxum 24v bowmount. You might want to check your weight in front I can gain 1mph by moving 30lb ancor from front compartment to back.
hope this may help.
