Trim gauge

When I bought my boat (used) it did not have a gauge for the trim of the motor. I am thinking I want to install one. It appears the gauge is around $25 in the latest Cabelas catalog.....Anyone done this? Is it as simple as hooking up a few wires to the gauge?

I did it some time ago on a 70 Johnson and yes it is pretty easy. Do some reasearch but you should find a trim wire in the motors wiring harness to attach the gauge to. I bought the OEM trim switch so it came with good instructions.
