I am new to fishing with reefrunners, so I need some advice in which ones to buy. Do I get the deep divers, or regular, or the little ones? Also, what are the best colors? Are they allright to fish behind jet planers, and also what is the best speed to troll? Thank you

Hey Stalker. If your fishing 1 to 10 feet get the Ripsticks. If you fishing 10 to 28 get the Reefrunners. As far as color, there are so many great colors, some so new we cant get them in stores out here yet. Colors will vary from lake to lake, and by weather changes. Best bet is to just buy a bunch in your old favorite colors and start from there.
Stalker,
The ripsticks allow you to troll faster (over 3.5 mph) but they have a tighter wobble.
The deep reef runners have a radical side to side action that make them awesome for active fish.
As for the large or small bait I would say you should match the hatch for whast is in the lake you are fishing. If you are fishing big water for big fish I like the full size reef runner baits.
Good luck

Fishstalker,
The ripsticks which will get down to 14' and the reef runner to 18' are great lures to fish Lake Erie in the spring and fall. For every one oz. of weight I add it will take the lure down another 5. I like to use these off of the planer boards.
The little rippers on the other hand are excellent to use with dipsys. Their small bills do not effect the dipsy in going to any desired depth.
As for the new deep lil rippers again I use them on planer boards. Same concept, but as stated they perform much better with active fish. Or if a smaller presentation is desired.
As for colors on Lake Erie I like the Eriedescent, Gold Clown, Trout, watermelon, Firetiger, and Silver/Blue.
