Jay Anderson, the Mercury tech you all know so well, lost everything but the clothes on his back in a house fire this week. See the original post to see how you can help!

If Jay has ever lent you a hand, or bailed you out, or even if not, here is a good chance to pay him back and help out someone that lost everything they own.

If you don't know Jay, this is a fellow angler and great guy that needs a hand in the way we have done several times before for other people.

Thanks for the info guys. Like you say, anyone that has met Jay knows what a great person he is and what he has done for the fishing industry. Sorry for your lost Jay and our prayers go out to you.

I think I remember Jay. Darn good guy with a little bad luck. He is the kind of guy who will survive this. I read how you people appreciate
what guys like Jay do for you at your tounaments etc. Yes, they are being payed, its there job. What you dont know is its not a very glamorous job. Your away from home, you have to get up at three in the morning, sometimes stay up past midnight to work on some fools engine
who runs it until it breaks instead of getting a little preventive maintance. There are a few other people out there like Rick Luttrell
who had the OMC truck. I forgot many of there names. If you appreciate
these guys buy them a good steak or slip a sawbuck in there pocket
when you see them even if they dont bale you out of trouble at the time. Why havent I seen this about Jay on the BASS Anglers site?
