I have two of G.R. rods from when they first came out - they are my favorite rods.....then, I broke one several places.
I noticed that the newer G.R. rods had stainless steel eyelets instead of the ceramic ones that I currently have...anyone have any comments on these nre G.R.rods.
The rods go for about $50 each.

I have a 7ft Roach rod and it seems so "mushy" and not sensitive. I did throw some fireline on to see if that improves things. We'll see.
I have a couple of the original rods and a couple of the newer versions. I like the newer ones a little better. I think they are a great rod for the price.
Berkley went to the stainless on the Series One line also. They are much lighter.

Hawg,
I can't comment on your first statement. I've never met Gary Roach, but I'm sure he's a fine man. As far as the Roach rod being " by far the worst rod I have ever owned", stick with the $200+ rods. Not everyone can afford them. I've got two of them and I think they are pretty nice, considering the price ($50). (I've got some expensive rods too!) The 7'M spinning is a nice rod for rigging or casting cranks.

If anyone might have one of the Pulse System rods and wants to get rid of it for a fair price, I would be most interested (7ft, med, 1pc, spinning).
Thanks

If anyone has any Series One spinning rods (the originals with the knob on the handle) that they would like to sell, I would be interested. THanks.

Bought one of the Roach rods last spring. I absolutely love it. Those stainless guides allow it to cast easily and as someone else said, they are very light. The rod is very well balanced.

I have 8 or 9 Roach rods, some of the early models and some newer models. I love them, for the money I think they are outstanding. Also, I have spent many days with a Loomis in the boat and have never seen a noticable difference in the number of fish caught by either a Roach road or a Loomis.
