Ok here is the deal, last fall I went to change the lower unit oil and had some water in it.I had been noticing a little oil on the skag before this. So I take it to my mechanic and he said he replaced all the seals in the lower unit. about $150.00 worth. I pick up my boat and take it to winter storage, Went and got it out of winter storage the outher day and there is oil on the skag again this motor has not even been run since the new seal job. It looks like it is coming from around the back of the prop and right down the skag. It is a 1994 40 h. p. Merc. I plan on talking to my mech. tomarrow.Any one have any ideas what this could be and if it might be an expensive fix.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. HAPPY HOOKEN!!!!!!!!!!
