I just noticed that Heddon is making the Tadpolly crankbait again. Cool! This is a bait from my childhood.........used to use nothing but these fishing the wingdams on the Mississippi River in my youth 30 years ago with my Dad. Tried to order some right away from Cabelas, but all are backorders, and colors are different. Can't wait to get my hands on some new ones.............sentimental reasons mainly, but they used to catch fish! Any other Tadpolly lovers out there?

You called?

I loved the Tadpoly!! I have one Tadpoly Jr from the 50's that I will not use. It is going in a shadow box display with some other old lures and some old photos and a map.

I used the Tadpoly often while chasing Salmon and trout on Lake Michigan. Also, an all chrome Tadpoly slowly reeled in over a weed bed, with an occasional violent jerk, was sheer dynamite for northern pike!

I'll be watching for them to hit the stores. Thanks for the heads up.

Have fun.............R

I used the Tadpolly casting for Lake Michigan coho and trout off the pier at Waukegan. I still have a bright red and bright green one in my tackle box.
